Students back anti-page 3 call

WOMEN campaigning against Page 3 models have raised the issue at the National Union of Students conference in Sheffield.

Lucy Holmes, founder of the No More Page 3 campaign, came to Sheffield for the conference to talk about the issue of ‘lad’ culture in universities.

She was met by Coun Nikki Bond, Labour councillor for Nether Edge, who supports Lucy’s campaign.

Coun Bond said: “Sheffield is developing a reputation as a leader in fighting for equality and, in particular, standing up for women.

“The meeting came a day after the Girl Guides backed the No More Page 3 campaign, which I have also spoken about on the radio.”

A petition against Page 3 - at - now has over 92,000 signatures.
