A TEENAGER was subjected to a terrifying sex attack in her bedroom after being told she would be raped ‘whether dead or alive’, a court heard.
Nathan Forbes, aged 26, of Mather Walk, Littledale, Sheffield is accused of raping the 19-year-old college student at her flat in Darnall.
Jurors heard Forbes allegedly dragged the teenager on to her bed and held a pillow over her mouth and nose while she begged him to stop.
Christine Egerton, prosecuting, told Sheffield Crown Court: “He told her he was going to rape her whether she was dead or whether she was alive.”
Miss Egerton said Forbes was friends with his alleged victim, who is now 20. He was allowed to visit her flat on November 16 last year on the condition he only stayed for an hour.
She said the woman - who cannot be named for legal reasons - was with a female friend. Forbes, who worked as a security officer, had ‘obviously consumed alcohol’.
Jurors heard Forbes later started being threatening and abusive, refusing to leave when a taxi was called for him.
Forbes eventually left but returned later claiming he wanted to talk to the woman, Miss Egerton said.
He threw her mobile phone at her and dragged her backwards into the flat, she added.
Miss Egerton said: “He dragged her onto her bed and put a pillow over her mouth and nose so she couldn’t breathe.
“She tried to wriggle away but he dragged her back.
“She was crying and shouting for help. He kept asking her if she wanted him to stop.
“She said yes but he carried on anyway.
“In the end she gave up fighting.”
She said he texted her the next day saying ‘I’m really sorry’.
Forbes denies rape and attempting to commit another serious sexual offence.
The trial continues.
