The smart new Adidas kit was unveiled today at Doncaster Sheffield Airport and after a season wearing a predominantly white jersey as part of the club's 125th Anniversary celebrations, Blades fans will be delighted to see their team run out again in the iconic red and white stripes.

The kit launch also brought the announcement of a new shirt sponsor.

Emblazoned on the front of both the home and away shirts will be international online travel company, alpharooms.com, which has agreed a three year, significant six figure sponsorship deal.

Speaking on the new kit and sponsorship deal, Paul Reeves, United’s Head of Commercial, said: “We have worked hard over the last six months on this new commercial relationship and we are delighted to be partnering with alpharooms.com.

"This will certainly help them grow their national awareness whilst also creating a link with our own supporter base. We have had a great relationship with outgoing main sponsor John Holland and we express our thanks to them for their support over the last two seasons.”

The new kit is on sale now from the Blades Superstore or online at www.sufcdirect.co.uk.
