A SERIES of walks are taking place in Sheffield from Saturday to mark the city’s Environment Weeks event.
Early risers can enjoy a dawn chorus walk around Wyming Brook, off Redmires Road, and a stroll along the Tinsley Canal the next day.
A trek across the city is happening the same day, starting from 10am at Arbourthorne tram stop, taking in the River Don, Weston Park and the Botanical Gardens.
On May 16 a country walk between Woodhouse railway station and Darnall is taking place, while a woodland stroll in Grenoside starts the next day at 7.30pm.
The wildlife around Tongue Gutter in Parson Cross is the subject of another event on May 18, and a four-mile walk to explore Burngreave’s green spaces begins at 7pm the following evening outside the Mangla restaurant on Spital Hill.
