A stranded car has has led to congestion on the motorway between Sheffield and Rotherham today.
Highways England said there were two stationary vehicles in lane one of the M1 southbound stretch between junction 35 for Thorpe Hesley and 34 for Tinsley and Meadowhall earlier.

One of the vehicles – a lorry - has since been recovered but a car remains at the scene.
