Supermarket workers and shoppers had a very special visitor in their store on a busy afternoon.
Staff at Sainsbury’s on Archer Road, Sheffield were treated to a visit from the guide dog puppy that they have sponsored through the name a puppy scheme.
The aptly-named Archie went to the store to meet the workers, who have raised over £5,000 to support him through his guide dog training.
Sainsbury’s spokeswoman, Sara May, said: “It was so lovely to meet Archie - and nice to see where the money we raised goes. All the staff loved him and we took him for a walk round the store to meet all the shoppers.”
Sainsbury’s is one of the leading supporters of the name a puppy scheme through which sponsors guide puppies through the process of becoming fully-trained.
