Stone carving greets visitors
stone carver Marcia Bennett-Male is chipping away to create a warm welcome to greet visitors as they arrive at the Wentworth Castle estate in Stainborough, near Barnsley.
The three-and-a-half-ton stone has been positioned just inside the parkland. The castle name will be carved into the stone with Wentworth Castle Trust’s logo, which features an illustration of the 18th-century Stainborough Castle.
