Steel firm’s wild plans for future

A TOP Sheffield steel firm has boosted its environmental credentials by joining The Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham as a corporate member.

Tata Steel said it was keen to be involved with the trust as part of its commitment to corporate citizenship.

Ed Heath-Whyte, manager of environmental affairs at Tata, said: “Our sites have significant green areas which provide habitat for wildlife.

“Our involvement with the trust will enable us to improve management of these areas so wildlife can thrive.”
