For the past 50 years, Peter Lavery has been photographing circus performers around Britain. All shot on a plate camera, the work is an impressive collection of circus subjects. These intimately detailed photographs expose moments of ordinariness in extraordinary lives. This exhibition celebrates 250 years of circus, as well as Peter Lavery’s five decade long fascination with it.

The exhibition opened last week at The Harley Gallery, in Worksop, and will run until April 15. Visit harleygallery.co.uk for details.
