Despite a number of health issues, the 10-year-old has never let them deter her from fundraising for a number of charities close to her heart.

This year alone, animal-lover Storm has raised over £4,000 for various animal charities and has been busy collecting food to give to six local animal shelters for the Christmas period.

She also regularly donates her pocket money to her 11 different causes, holds cake sales and any other activities she can think of to raise funds.

Mayfield Alpacas were thrilled on the night to be able to present Storm with the Fundraising Award, for her incredible drive and kindness.

Mum Tracy said: “Storm is an inspiration and she never stops. All the charities she donates to know and think a lot about her. She’s a selfless little girl and I’m so proud of everything she has done.

“She’s had plenty of health issues in the last couple of years, including problems with her eyesight and suspected Cystic Fibrosis among many others, but apart from doctor’s appointments she never takes time off school and, throughout everything, she’s only ever wanted to help others.

“The day she came out of hospital, after having her tonsils and adenoids out, she wanted to crack on with raising some money for snow leopards - I quickly ordered her back to bed!

“She adores animals. She has five cats and a rottweiler, and dreams of one day being a vet and opening her own animal sanctuary.

“She’s collected £500 in pet food which she plans to distribute to six shelters around the city this Christmas.

“She really enjoyed the evening of the awards and had a big smile on her face.”
