Boxer Jerome Wilson is a brave man and by all accounts a good husband, father and friend.
That’s why, as he fights for his life from his bed at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, people are rallying to his cause.

Jerome was knocked unconscious in the sixth round of his bout against Burngreave-based Serge Ambomo at iceSheffield last Friday.
And now a campaign has been set up called the Jerome Wilson Fund, to help his family.
Already donations are rolling in from supporters across South Yorkshire.
Boxing is a tough sport and Jerome – who was determined to make a success of his personal training business – knew the risks before stepping into the ring. So too did his and his opponent’s team.
The speed with which opposing coach Glyn Rhodes responded at the end of the bout to put Jerome into the recovery position was truly astonishing.
Fundraising events to raise money for his family have begun and more will take place over the next few weeks.
We can be sure that Jerome’s doctors will fight hard to save him and it is equally certain that those who know him will be playing their part to support his family. We wish them all well in their efforts.
