Staff raise whopping sum for city hospital

Employees at Marks & Spencer Meadowhall have raised more than £18,000 in six months for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Charity.

The store committed to take part in a 12-month fundraising campaign for the Trust back in March, and so far has organised a range of activities - from bag-packing, to a trolley-push, which consisted of staff pushing trollies from Meadowhall to Fargate. Now staff have announced plans to celebrate the store’s 25th anniversary by setting themselves a fundraising target of £25,000 by the end of the year.

Jayne Gething, Commercial Manager at M&S Meadowhall, said: “We are delighted with the dedication our employees have shown to raise the amount we have for this great cause. It’s great to give something back to our community.”
