Sheffield squash star Nick Matthew will be inspiring youngsters to get involved in the sport.

The world champion will be at Rotherham Leisure Complex on Thursday, January 2, at 10am, encouraging children aged eight and over to take part in his Squash in the Community Challenge.

The free event will include one hour’s coaching with Nick, followed by a match.

Children can sign up for a three-month coaching course which will give them the chance to compete in a Squash Gala Tournament with schools across Yorkshire at the British Open Championship Court in Hull in May.

Emily Newman, Rotherham Leisure Complex sports development manager, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for children to try a new sport.”
