BRITAIN’S female volleyball team will continue to train in Sheffield ahead of the 2012 Olympics, it has been announced.

The Great Britain squad will use the English Institute of Sport, Claremont Hospital and All Saints’ School.

The team already trains in the city but the new deal also provides complete accommodation, hospital, training and medical facilities for the lead-up to the London games.

Head coach Audrey Cooper said: “Sheffield is such a great city, with sporting facilities which are second to none, and we are thrilled the team can stay and train here.”
