Wildlife enthusiasts are being invited on a walk in Sheffield to spot different varieties of birds.

The event on Saturday is on Wadsley Common and will be led by bird expert John Robinson.

John, a member of the Wadsley and Loxley Commoners and the RSPB, said he has recorded more than 78 species of birds during regular strolls around the area during the past 15 years.

Walkers should meet at 10am at the Rural Lane car park, off Worrall Road.

Participants will follow a circular route, lasting for around one-and-a-half hours.
