Former professional snooker player Stephen Harrison, from Sheffield, is planning a wheelchair snooker championship in the city.
The event will be held on April 27 at The Green Room Snooker Centre, High Green, organised in memory of Stephen’s father Ray Harrison, who won a gold medal in 1985 and was crowned paraplegic World Snooker Champion.
Stephen is the founder of the Stephen Harrison Snooker Academy, which runs snooker coaching sessions for disadvantaged groups in Sheffield.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the event should call Stephen on 07864 046826.
Money will pay for hotel accommodation for entrants as well as a trophy for the winner and a medal for the runner-up of the tournament.
