Sponsored walk a highlight of school's social calendar

Hundreds of pupils from Doncaster’s Danum School Technology College walked 10 laps around the school fields as part of a sponsored event and fun day. Years seven, eight and nine took part on Friday at the Leger Way site.

The fun day also included games on the school grounds, and a fancy dress competition.

The money raised will be given to the school council, which will decide what to spend it on after consulting with the whole school.

Last year’s walk raised money which was spent on picnic tables for pupils to use at lunchtime, and on water fountains for use throughout the Lower School building.

Headteacher Dr Kelvin Simmonds said: “This is one of the social highlights in the Lower School calendar.”
