Spirit gets the right Platform for victory

AS unlucky losers go, I suppose Platform Spirit would figure in plenty of people's lists after his matinee effort on Monday. However, I reserve judgment as to whether he would have won or not, having strongly fancied the winner's chances in his last couple of outings.

It remains a fact, though, that he would have been a lot closer but for the two incidents he was involved in at the first and second bends.

He will have to show a lot more urgency to the first bend than he has been doing in recent runs.

Harry Crapper’s youngster looks to be handily drawn, though and he gets the nap vote to earn a hard-fought victory at the main expense of Durham Hero.

Glynns Striker is another imposing youngster and he is tipped to to land the double for us.
