The woman was arrested and handed a caution for possession of '˜Spice' and also charged and bailed to attend Doncaster Magistrates Court.

PC Jack Goodall, of the Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team, said part of the bail conditions included a ruling for the woman '“ who has not bee named '“ not to enter the town centre for the breach of the PSPO.

The issue of Spice usage was highlighted as a major concern for residents and traders at a public meeting held earlier this week.

People who take the drug are often left in a zombie-like or collapsed state and there are fears that an increase in usage is driving customers away from the town centre.

Police and council officials vowed to do more to crackdown on the issue. Â
