Spend money to save lives

Paul Licence doubts if Labour’s ‘favoured area’ policy closes the poverty gap.

Tragically the Lib Dems took money for road safety in areas with most accidents and gave it to areas with the least! The inner city has to cope with commuting traffic. It’s no surprise a pedestrian is 20 times more likely to be knocked down in Central Ward than in Fulwood Ward.

We do not support Labour’s ‘favoured area’ policy but would prioritise 20mph limits for residential streets and ensure money goes where it can save most lives.
