Tigers have gone almost a month without a win following back-to-back defeats at the hands of Peterborough and Edinburgh last week.

Now they face Ipswich at Owlerton as they look to get their play-off challenge back on the rails.

Team boss Marc Bates said: “It was disappointing to get nothing from the two meetings last week and we need to regroup from here and start again.

“It’s an important meeting against Ipswich, we have to get three points it’s as simple as that.

“I’d like to thank the lads who came in as guests for us at Edinburgh, they did their very best and we’re hopeful Simon Stead will be available again on Thursday after his knock last week.

“We haven’t become a bad team overnight, when we’re firing as a unit we can be hard to beat, we didn’t get to the top of the league by fluke.

“We just have to get together on Thursday and try and put a good win on the board to get our season going again.”

Stead crashed out of the Peterborough meeting on Thursday after stretching his knee but is hopeful of making a return against the Witches.

Jason Garrity remains on the sidelines but should be back in business soon after his arm injury sustained in the British Final at Belle Vue in June.
