Lake Y is a private members’ health and wellness resort, quietly set around a striking open-water lake in Auckley, Doncaster.

It’s where early morning swims turn into long lunches, where movement meets stillness and where a like-minded community comes together to reset, recharge, and feel good.

At the centre of it all is a beautifully filtered lake, edged by a laid-back beach club atmosphere. Post-swim or post-session, members drift to the Wheelhouse Café; think great coffee, something cold in hand, and a menu that balances clean, seasonal plates with just the right amount of indulgence.

The offering is thoughtfully curated. Open-water swimming, paddle-boarding, and padel tennis complemented by a dedicated run track and calisthenic training stations for when you feel driven. Launching this month, imminent additions include a sunken lakeside sauna and Station 1, a dedicated outdoor training space designed for elevated calisthenics, strength, and conditioning.

Lake Y is as much about the social side as it is the physical. Membership brings access to a community that shows up for the workouts, the wind-downs, and everything in between. Not ready to commit? A limited number of day passes offer a first taste.

The calendar is where things really come to life. Summer Fridays roll into golden-hour sessions with music on the beach. Full moon swims shift the pace. Floating yoga and pilates take things onto the water. Add in sound baths and curated wellness events, and there’s always something worth staying for.

This is just the beginning. Plans are already in motion for a full fitness suite, luxury lodges, and elevated glamping spaces, building Lake Y into a destination you won’t want to leave.

Lake Y welcomes members aged 12 and up, creating space for a new generation to tap into wellness early. Younger children are welcome on-site with supervision, but this is a place designed with a slightly more grown-up feel.
