An elderly South Yorkshire woman was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in her bedroom.

She dialled 999 after discovering a small fire in her home in St Andrews Crescent, Hoyland, Barnsley, at 10.15pm yesterday.

Firefighters said the fire involved wheat bags.
