Fire crews were kept busy overnight attending a spate of rubbish blazes.

Monday 7.50pm saw rubbish torched at Manor Road, Kiverton Park, followed by similar 9.20pm Anna Lane, Penistone, incident.

Wickersley Road, Herringthorpe, was scene of 1.30am wheeled bins arson attack, attended by two Rotherham appliances.

Engines from Barnsley, Cudworth and Dearne later tackled 4.40am Brierley Road, Grimethorpe, unoccupied house ground floor deliberate fire.
