Police officers raised £313 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital during an annual awards night.

The South Yorkshire bobbies donated the money when a collection was held at the City Hall last month at an event aimed at recognising unsung heroes in the county’s police force.

Chief Superintendent David Hartley, District Commander for Sheffield, said: “I am delighted we can make this small contribution towards this worthy local cause and I would like to thank my officers and staff for their generosity on the night.”
