South Yorkshire police chiefs issue warning over new laws around '˜legal highs'

Police chiefs in South Yorkshire are warning of a change in the law making it illegal to sell psychoactive substances '“ previously known as '˜legal highs' - from April 6.

Anyone caught supplying or selling the substances could face up to seven years in prison.

Over recent weeks, officers from South Yorkshire Police have been visiting premises across the county to inform licensees about the changes to the law.
