South Yorkshire Police cannabis seizure takes 'more drugs off the streets'
A man has been charged with producing cannabis after a stash was found in a car and a house in Rotherham.
South Yorkshire Police said officers approached a car parked behind the library in Wath on Saturday night and could smell cannabis.
They found cannabis in the car and searched a house, where more was found.
A police spokesman said: "PCSOs spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in the car park behind the library at Wath.
"On approaching the vehicle they noticed a strong smell of cannabis.
"A local male produced a large amount of cannabis to officers, which was in his vehicle. A further search of his home address was conducted and a substantial amount of cannabis was located there. That's more drugs off the streets."
"The male was arrested and is now awaiting a court date."
