South Yorkshire indie rockers The Sherlocks set for huge UK tour

An indie rock band with their roots in the Dearne Valley are embarking on their biggest ever tour after wowing audiences at gigs across the country.

Indie rockers The Sherlocks hail from Bolton-no-Dearne and consists of Kiaran Crook on lead vocals with brother Brandon on drums, as well as guitarist Josh Davidson and his brother Andy on bass.

They completed a sold out UK tour in September and one of their singles ‘Escapade’ almost sneaked into the top 40 in the Official UK Singles Chart when it peaked at number 45.

The band is now set to embark on a huge 35-date tour of the UK and Ireland in February and March next year.

And the four-piece are particularly excited by the prospect of playing a homecoming gig at The Foundry in Sheffield on March 3.

The band said on their Facebook page: “Bussing for Sheffield.

“We can’t wait to see you there!”

The Sherlocks have been steadily building a solid live following and were the first unsigned band since Arctic Monkeys to sell out the Leadmill in Sheffield.

They have also had their songs played to huge audiences on BBC radio by top DJ’s including the likes of Steve Lamacq, Annie Mac and Huw Stephens.

They have recently released their latest single ‘Will You Be There’.

Tickets are due to go on sale on Friday, November 18, at 10am.
