South Yorkshire fires round-up: Arsonists torch BMW

South Yorkshire firefighters were called out to deal with several small fires across Rotherham and Sheffield overnight.

A pile of litter went up in flames off Todwick Road, Dinnington, at 7.20pm last night.

Firefighters from Aston Station spent 20 minutes at the scene. No cause was given.

Arsonists set fire to a BMW car in Osgathorpe Road, Pitsmoor, at 2.20am this morning.

A crew from Elm Lane Station attended but the blaze was out on arrival.

Part of a garden fence was engulfed in flames at a property in Silverdales, Dinnington, at 2.35am.

Aston Station firefighters spent 20 minutes tackling the blaze. No cause was given.
