South Yorkshire drink driver has lucky escape after her ploughing car into another vehicle while THREE times over the limit

The two-vehicle collision took place in the Silkstone area of Barnsley yesterday.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police’s operational support team said the woman who they believe caused the collision was found to have 'three times the legal limit’ of alcohol in her system when it took place.

“The driver of the Volvo's judgement was clouded by alcohol so much that she pulled out in front of the Skoda up at Silkstone, Barnsley.

“3 times the legal limit. Fortunately no major injuries. #fatal4 #dontdrinkanddrive," the spokesman said on Twitter.

The drink drive limit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
