Soldiers jump into Parkour action at Sheffield park

Serving soldiers will join free runners in a display at a Sheffield park this weekend.

The event will take place at Endcliffe Park, at the top of Ecclesall Road, at the city’s dedicated facility for Parkour – where people move through the environment by running, vaulting, rolling and climbing.

Saturday’s session, which starts at noon, is being held as part of Sheffield Council’s Community Covenant encouraging people to support the armed forces in their area.

Ahmed Saricicek, from Sheffield Parkour Movement, said: “We believe this facility has created great development opportunities for the younger generation.

“I hope lots of people will come along on Saturday, especially if they haven’t been before, to see Parkour in action for themselves.”
