In reply to the article of so- called ‘soft’ Staffordshire bull terriers, I must write a note of caution. They may be good with people but are not always so with other dogs and small animals.
A few days ago on Ruskin Park my Yorkshire terrier was attacked by one of these ‘soft’ dogs. If it was not for the quick actions of a fellow dog walker who dragged this dog off. I think it would have killed my dog. It was a most distressing and painful experience for both myself and my dog, and resulted in a vet bill of £72. The irresponsible owner of this so-called ‘soft’ dog continues to let it run loose on Ruskin Park, so owners of small dogs beware.
