Sofa so good for the homeless

Have your say

HOMELESSNESS charity Emmaus, Sheffield’s second- hand furniture store, is proving so successful it is making an appeal for extra items to sell.

The charity always has a large selection of sofas at its store at the Sipelia Works in Cadman Street.

But recent weeks have proved so successful manager Charley Holman is now asking for fresh donations in the run-up to Christmas.

“If you are thinking of updating your suite just give us a call and we’ll take your old one off your hands,” Charley said.

“All we ask is that sofas and chairs are in a good enough condition for re-sale and they still have their fire safety labels attached.”

Emmaus can collect sofas and chairs free of charge – call 0114 272 0677.
