Samira, who is two-years-old, is now ready for a new home after being cared for by staff at the RSPCA since July. Adam Spencer, of RSPCA Sheffield, said: 'She has been an absolute delight to look after, she is very funny and regularly likes to hold a conversation with you about the daily events. 'Samira really loves people, she loves the belly rubs they bring and also the sweeties.  She enjoys taking part in activities with her human buddies, she`s a real social pup.' Being a Husky type dog she is needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy. It is important that anyone who is interested in giving Samira a home researches her breed to better understand her needs and ensure that they can offer her an appropriate lifestyle. She may be able to live with other dogs, cats but several meetings may be needed to ensure Samira bonds well with any other animals in a home before she moves in. Samira, who Adam refers to as a '˜smashing' and '˜lovely' girl, may be able to live with children as young as 12, as they are comfortable and confident around large breed dogs and that they understand her needs. One again, everal meet and greets may be needed with children to ensure Samira would be happy to live with them and vice versa. Adam said: 'As she was left behind, Samira may worry about being alone in the first few weeks in her new home, so provision should be made to build up the time left gradually and positively to ensure she is comfortable with this. 'She appears quite chilled out here at the centre, so we think with consistency, she will settle brilliantly.' Give Samira a new home by contacting 0114 289 8050 or call into the RSPCA offices, two Stadium Way.
