WOODHOUSE Mill-based door and window manufacturer Jeld-Wen raised £1,300 for Weston Park Hospital in an employee football tournament at Sheffield FC in Dronfield.

More than 150 staff supported or played in the tournament, with four teams, two from Melton Mowbray, one from Penrith and one from Sheffield, taking part.

Helen Gentle, fundraiser for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, said: “We are so grateful to everyone at Jeld-Wen for this fantastic donation.

“It’s so important to the cancer charity to have the support of local businesses.

She added: “These funds will make a big different to our work improving the lives of cancer patients in this region.”
