Conditions have since stayed mainly dry with light winds and variable cloud overnight.

Clearer spells may allow for a sharp frost to develop, perhaps with isolated freezing fog patches, and icy patches on untreated surfaces.

The Met Office warned of more frost, ice and frosty fog patches into Monday with widespread frost until Wednesday.

However, milder weather has been forecast for the end of the week.
