Be At One - which has revamped the former Bowery bar on Devonshire Street - is the second northern venue for the London-founded bar chain and its opening has created eight jobs.

The aim is to give Sheffield ‘something new’, with a Coyote Ugly style bar, top service and a wide variety of blended concoctions, from reimagined gin classics to ‘virtuous’ drinks made with superfoods.

Its 150 cocktail menu is one of the largest lists in the industry and the bar has a special app to help customers choose, with a feature that selects a randomly generated cocktail for £5.

General manager Hayley McPhie said: “Be At One is all about bringing something different to a night out. Sheffield has an energetic and dynamic bar scene and we’re excited to bring our ethos of great drinks, great service and great atmosphere to the city.

“We’re all looking forward to welcoming our first guests tonight. The team are excited and raring to go and we’re ready to showcase what Be At One can bring to Sheffield.”

The bar team said there had been a huge response from Sheffield residents on social media before the opening.

The bar will open from 4.30pm on weekdays and 2pm at the weekend with a daily happy hour.
