SMAC gets sparkly to help fight cancer
Sheffield Mums Against Cancer is a group of city mums – founded by Ceri Rogers - that have joined forces to fight back against cancer, having being personally affected by cancer or having lost loved ones to the disease.
A spokesman for the group said: “SMAC has worked tirelessly all year round to organise a whole host of fundraising, projects including a golf day, a Hoe Down, several marathons and even a charity nude calendar.

Hide Ad“Together we have raised £32,000 for St Luke’s Hospice and that figure was given a further boost with recently with our Big Sparkly Fundraising Ball at Baldwin’s Omega.
“The event raised money for both St Luke’s and Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity and saw both organisations share a total of £13,500.”
St Luke’s Community fundraising manager Megan Senior said: “Sheffield Mums Against Cancer is one of our biggest and most enthusiastic group of fundraisers and they have proved just how much can be done by combining some great ideas with a tireless can do spirit.
“The work they do on our behalf really does make a massive difference to the lives of all St Luke’s patients and their families.”

“Motivated to make a difference and play our part in fight against Cancer, Sheffield Mums Against Cancer’s primary goal is to raise much needed funds for Sheffield-based cancer charities.”
