SLIDESHOW: Vulcan Tour day two

Crowds flocked to Doncaster Airport for the second day to catch a glimpse of the world’s last flying Vulcan bomber.

The sun was shining as residents from across the region flocked with cameras and binoculars to see the Cold War icon XH558 as part of its nationwide Farewell To Flight.

But the UK-wide tour will not be the last by the aircraft – with more farewell flights planned throughout this month.

Fans of the aircraft were told to stay away from Doncaster over fears too many spectators could cause traffic chaos and safety issues, causing the event to be scrapped.

But the event went ahead as planned on both days.
