SIX things we learned from Sheffield Wednesday 2 Nottingham Forest 1

This time it was Nottingham Forest who succumbed to the Owls' never-say-die attitude with Kieran Lee grabbing a brace to cancel out Henri Lansbury's deflected opening goal, which came well against the run of play.

Here are SIX things we learned from this latest heart-racing victory for Wednesday.

Kieran Lee is no longer under-rated

It was mentioned so many times on Saturday on social media that it's was a surprise that 'under-rated' wasn't trending. However, I think we can get past that stage now with regards to Kieran Lee. Wednesday fans have known for a long time about the under-played role that Lee has in this squad, but now everyone is sitting up and taking notice. Three goals in his last two home games has helped that, not least because two of them were injury-time winners. If he carries on like this, the former Manchester United youngster can be rightfully regarded as one of the most influential midfielders in the Championship.

Westwood back to his best

The Wednesday keep has taken a bit of stick in recent weeks after a howler against Brentford and a stupidly ill-timed challenge which led to a penalty against Birmingham. However, the Republic of Ireland international showed his true worth on Saturday with a display more akin to that which Owls fans have become used to. His save from Apostolos Vellios' glancing header was crucial, with Forest 1-0 up at that stage. Soon after, almost buoyed by that brilliance, Wednesday pulled one back and from there went on to win the match.

Carlos is going to die

Without wishing to sound like a broken record, can Wednesday for once start putting those chances away when they are on top? Once again they dominated the early stages on Saturday then fell behind, albeit fortuitously when Lansbury's shot sliced off the boot of Barry Bannan and into the top corner. It's difficult to even put your finger on why it's happening as it's not as if they're missing a bucketload of easy goalscoring opportunities (though Forestieri should have done better when Vladimir Stojkovic spilled a Hooper header). Carlos Carvalhal said afterwards: If the plan of the team is to kill me, they are very near, I must tell you! One more game like this and they will kill me" He won't be alone if they carry on like this.

Stick with Hooper and Fletcher

This drum has been beaten by me all season and I'll continue to make the same noises for a little while longer, at least. The pair linked up well in parts of the game on Saturday, but admittedly it was hardly a classic partnership performance. However for that partnership to flourish, it needs time and hopefully Carvalhal recognises that. I maintain that they will score a lot of goals between them given the opportunity together.

Forestieri could be the fall-guy

There's no doubting his ability but things aren't quite going right for Fernando Forestieri at the minute and perhaps he should be the one to take a place on the bench for a while. With Daniel Pudil expected back soon, Adam Reach should reclaim the place on the left wing where he is most effective (he's really not a full-back) and that, taking into account the above, would mean Forestieri dropping out. It's a big call to make when not just a one-off.

And Finally...Henri Lansbury's hair

To quote Principal Skinner in The Simpsons: "I'm going to shave you bald, young man, until you learn that hair is not a right, it's a privilege."
