Six off-road motorbikes seized in crackdown in Sheffield

Six motorbikes were seized by police in a crackdown on off-road bikers causing a nuisance.

The machines were seized by officers in Wybourn, with investigations now underway into a number of possible offences, including theft and driving without insurance.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Sheffield East local policing team staff conducted an operation in the Wybourn area on Wednesday targeting the anti-social use of off-road motorbikes.

"In total six vehicles were seized and officers are still investigating offences ranging from theft, to insurance and driving offences.

"We appreciate it can be frustrating when you see these bikes being ridden in a dangerous or anti-social manner in your local area.

"Please continue to report these matters we will remove these bikes from the streets where we can."
