Super sisters Alison Delaney and Rachel Jones were among a team of daredevils who pumped up the adrenaline to raise money for patients in Sheffield hospitals.

The sisters completed an ‘Awesome Foursome’ at Magna in support of the Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

Beginning 70ft up on an overhead crane, the sisters and other charity fundraisers took on a 250ft zip wire. They followed this by abseiling down a thin rope from the 150ft Magna face of the steel building and then plunged off a 150ft platform into thin air with just the force of the Powerfan to ensure they had a safe landing. Finally, Alison and Rachel completed a 150ft bungee jump to raise cash for Weston Park Hospital, where their dad had received treatment.

Ruth Block, fundraiser at Sheffield Hospitals Charity said: “Overall the day was amazing and we salute all those who took part and braved the terrifying ordeal.

“Everyone had their own personal reason for taking on this challenge and we recognise that for some it was the hardest thing they’ve ever done. We want thank everyone for their bravery and support.”
