Singer Annie going to California with TJ

Singer-songwriter Annie, aged 29, whose parents Fran and John Stocks live in Ranmoor, is moving to Santa Monica, California, to be with her exotic long-time boyfriend TJ Ramini.

TJ – part Australian, Palestinian, Scottish and Russian – is best known for playing rogue cop DC Zain Nadir in The Bill and he’s just returned to record a two-part special.

He was seen recently as a lawyer in Boston Legal and Annie is joining him to make a career out there.

Annie, who describes herself on her website (www.anniemcqueen.com) as “a girl’s girl with bunny girl looks,” is excited about the move.

She says: “I will miss Sheffield and The Star – I always read it when I come home – but I do like the thought of being bi-continetal.”

She plans gigs across the States but has yet to sing in Sheffield since performing with her parents’ folk duo as a teenager.

Annie and TJ got engaged in Los Angeles last year and plan to marry in Yorkshire next year.
