Have your say

It’s been a pretty quiet week for me because of the injury but I was at Owlerton on Thursday for our meeting with Rye House and it was so frustrating having to watch the guys from the sidelines.

Ask any sportsman and they will tell you it is the worst thing having to watch your team and especially when they’re losing because you feel so helpless. I was there with the guys trying to give some advice and help where I could but ultimately it’s down to the boys on the track and unfortunately it just didn’t happen for us.

Rye House were the better side and they deserved to go through, and it was nice to see my good friend Olly Allen do well - I just wish he was on the losing side!

The hand is improving every day and hopefully I’ll be back soon, but I can’t put an exact timeframe on it. I really want to be back to ride in the Premier League Pairs at the end of the month but we’ll just have to wait and see how things are nearer the time.

Finally, good luck to the younger lads who are racing at Owlerton tomorrow against Dudley Heathens for the Ozchem Trophy. I’m sure there will be some entertaining racing, so why not come along and enjoy the night? Reduced admission too, a bargain of a night!
