Rotherham folk were in the mood to party at a big warm-up before this year’s Midnight Walk.
Fundraisers at Rotherham Hospice celebrated the launch of the fundraiser by playing music to shoppers and encouraging people to sign up.
The event, on Saturday, June 18, will kick off a party at Parkgate to get the walkers ready to tackle the five- or 10-mile hike around Rotherham.
There will be live entertainment from Rotherham-born rap singer Jay Mya, Jason Quainoo and Stage Fusions.
Every walker who takes part will receive a free T-shirt and pie.
The hospice is opening an extension later this year and increasing services by 75 per cent.
It costs £3 million a year to run the hospice and the walk is its biggest fundraiser.
