Sick Children's Trust receives donation from Amazon
Sheffield's Sick Children's Trust has received a welcome boost, in the form of a £2,500 donation from Amazon in Doncaster.
The Amazon team visited the charity’s Magnolia House, at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, recently to learn about how the money will be used.
Magnolia House provides free ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support, to families with children receiving critical care on the hospital’s intensive care units. The donation was made after the Trust was nominated for support by an Amazon associate whose family had been helped by the charity.
Amazon Doncaster site leader Stuart Morgan said: “This is an incredible organisation that does important work for families in our community and we’re happy to support the work they do.”
