Showroom extension
LONDON architectural studio Carmody Groark has won the chance to design a landmark festival centre for The Showroom and Workstation, in Sheffield's Cultural Industries Quarter.
The 3 million building will extend the Showroom cinema and Workstation cultural industries business centre, near the newly redeveloped Sheffield Midland Railway Station and Sheaf Square.
Facilities will include a larger caf bar, public terraces, an additional cinema auditorium, new offices and a flexible space for festivals and special events.
