Police and trading standards officers sent teenagers into shops in Rotherham looking for staff serving cigarettes and alcohol to underage customers.

Members of the South Rotherham local policing team carried out the 'test purchase' operation and found that four shops failed.

They were issued with £90 fixed penalty notices.
