Sheffield's ring road closed due to crash at A61 Derek Dooley Way

Derek Dooley Way was closed in both directions between the A57 Sheffield Parkway and the A6178 The Wicker junction, following a collision in the early hours of this morning.

Police tweeted to say the road would remain closed until around 10am while officers continued their investigation.

Details of the collision are unclear at this stage, but one person tweeted to say a car had landed on its roof on the dual carriageway. It is not yet known whether anyone was injured.
