Sheffield's Ingle boxing camp: don't forget title-hungry Kid Galahad!

One mega-fight in the works isn't enough for the eternally-ambitious Ingle boxing camp in Sheffield.

Dom Ingle, who is training Kell Brook to take on middleweight maestro Gennady Golovkin on September 10, says he’d love to see Kid Galahad (Abdul Barry Awad) take on Scott Quigg.

Ingle told Sky Sports: “He’d fight Quigg tomorrow. The point is whether Quigg will want to fight him. He’d like to box Carl Frampton at super-bantamweight, but if the opportunity came between super-bantam and featherweight, he will fight anybody.

“You’ve got Gavin McDonnell, Jamie McDonnell. Gavin is super-bantam, Jamie might be moving up at some point. He will fight those guys. It’s getting the opportunity to do it. Galahad is in camp with Kell. I’m talking to Eddie Hearn now about getting on Kell’s undercard on this one, then hopefully he’s back out in October.”

Ingle added: “He’s never been out of the gym. He’s always been a good trainer, he’s always been there to motivate Kell, push him on. Kell looks at Kid and wants to have that level of fitness. But he lives the life, he’s never out of the gym.”
